Rogic playing future under a cloud

Rogic, who plays for Glasgow Celtic, is still battling a groin problems believed to be osteitis pubis, after letting down in the Socceroos' final trial go before the FIFA World Cup about Brazil.

"Tommy had a little bit of every setback, " Postecoglou said proper after announcing a 23-member squad for one's international matches against United Arabic Emirates in Abu Dhabi upon 11 October (AEST) and Qatar in Doha four days tomorrow.

"He had to have another operation so this means another lengthy absence, probably governing him out of the Asian Cup measurements.

"From what I understand he has a reasonable bit of work to do in specialist.

"The medical department has been talking to him and I have had regular reports.

"It is disappointing especially for man because he wants to get back playing.

"From my perspective I certainly penalize want to be in a position in which we are determined by just one or two players.

"That's the process we are going to going through now. Injuries are involved in the football journey and we have to prevent ourselves from injuries by having additional options.

"To be fair to Tommy he has not been in our measurements for quite a while.

"He has not played because of the World Cup and the best thing over him now is his rehab and ensure he's fit and start playing yet again. "

Postecoglou said he has certainly not spoken to the stricken Rogic figure out trying to overcome the darkest length of his young career.

"I don't believe that is my role, " Postecoglou explained.

"He's got a golf iron coach and a club environment and also provide him with all the support but the possibility I see it there are a lot of injured guitar players at the moment, a lot of them we don't know understand will miss the Asian Drink.

"It's not about me wanting to console players who are missing out.

"They all have clubs and when these companies play regularly they will come into my sudden case of calculations. "

Postecoglou said the matches against UAE and Qatar should see further improvement during Socceroos side as it prepares in host the Asian Cup nationwide in January.

"Look, we're going and as I said before this popular last games our main primary focus is to expose more players in international level, " he exclaimed.

"Moving forward we seek whole lot players to pick from and a bit more defense against loss of form or injuries.

"We're still in that process but efficient happy with the progress we're laying out and the players we are introducing act as adding something to it. "

A specific area that has not seen too much progress is the defence.

The Socceroos act as playing more adventurous football but are leaking too many goals.

"I don't believe the defence is providing me employing the biggest headaches, " Postecoglou exclaimed.

"We are still in the mode involving trying to build a basic play.

"We've chopped and changed a bit since, as anyone would tell you, particularly defensively the more settled you are the more healthy you look.

"It's all part of the process of engaging in things that way and ultimately make sure you get us to where we should go. "
